Peddler Permits
A vendors license is required for any person within the Town of Parma acting as peddler, vendor or solicitor.
Application Requirements & Fees
- Applications are available through and submitted to the Town Clerk’s office.
- Companies/entities who want to have more than one representative must submit an application for each person who will be vending, soliciting and or peddling. Submit a separate application for each person.
- Name and Address of applicant - local and legal address
- The following information must be provided with each application
- Contact information for the company applicant is employed or contracted by.
- A letter of authorization on company letterhead which the applicant purports to represent.
- A letter on company letterhead stating that this person has been authorized to represent said company and the company is liable for any issues that may arise must accompany each application.
- Copy of driver's license current valid driver ‘s license
- All felonies or misdemeanors with which the applicant has been charged and the disposition of each charge. A background check for each person a permit is to be issued for from the policing entity of the municipality where the applicant ( or the individual representing the applicant) resides.
- Description of motor vehicle to be used while in the Town of Parma. License plate number, make, model and year of vehicle applicant will be using. A copy of the current vehicle registration.
- Brief description of nature of business and goods or property to be peddled
- Date and length of time desired for license. Locations within the Town where the applicant’s activity will take place.
- Certificate of Insurance listing the Town of Parma as certificate holder and additional insured.
- Copy of the Monroe County Department of Health Permit if preparing and /or vending food

- Please contact Town Clerks office for more information on fees.
Note: Some restrictions may apply and license may be revoked by the Town Clerk after notice and hearing for violators of code. If selling at a stationary location, written permission must be obtained from the property owner.
All annual licenses expire on December 31st of the year of issue regardless of then they were issued, except one time event licenses.
